Church interior during mass

Divine Worship Ministry

Altar Servers

Altar Servers are young parishioners who assist the celebrant during the liturgy.  Open to children who have received the Sacrament of First Communion.  Altar Servers are required to commit to serving on a regular basis.  Training is offered several times a year.

Environment Committee

The Environment Committee plans and arranges the visual symbols (colors, decorations, plants and flowers) for liturgical celebrations.  Committee volunteers gather in the church to change the environment according to the liturgical seasons (e.g., Lent, Easter, Advent, Christmas, Ordinary Time).

Eucharistic Ministers

Eucharistic Ministers assist with distributing the Body and Blood of Christ at Eucharistic celebrations and at communion services.  Ministers assist in preparing the altar vessels and Eucharistic elements before the liturgy. Ministers also may bring the Eucharist to the sick.  Training and enrichment opportunities are available.

Provides ministers who visit the sick, elderly and home bound of our parish.  This most satisfying ministry brings the Eucharist and spends time for prayer to those in need.  Please let us know if you are interested in helping, or if you need help for yourself, a friend or family member.

Members of this ministry proclaim the word of God during the liturgies.  They also lead the assembly in the Prayers of the Faithful.  Training is available.

Ministers of the Cloth

This ministry is a one month commitment to wash and iron the liturgical cloths on a weekly basis.  Help is always appreciated.  Please call the church office to sign up for a month or to share a month.

Music helps foster a sense of spirituality and unity at the liturgical celebrations.  The Parish Music Coordinator plans the music for the liturgies throughout the year and needs volunteer assistance for tasks such as assembling the songbooks.  Cantors lead the assembly during the liturgies with the accompaniment of skilled musicians.  The choir sings at various liturgies and practices Wednesdays at 7 pm in the church.  Consider lending your voice to the parish choir.  He who sings, prays twice.
