Church interior during mass

Formation

Religious Education & Adult Formation

A note from the Director of Religious Education

Dear St. Joseph’s Religious Education Parents:

The Catholic Church believes the parents are the first teachers of their Catholic faith to their child.  St. Joseph’s is grateful for the time you, the parents, have given either at home and/or here at Church in teaching your child about our faith.

As a parent, you model behavior that you would like your child to incorporate into his/her  daily life now and as an adult.  Attending weekly Mass is something we Catholics are encouraged to do. Another support for your child is to pray, individually or as a family.  The Sign of the Cross, Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be, Apostles’ Creed, and the Act of Contrition are prayers that all Catholics say.

Many thanks to all who have volunteered to help teach and to aide in the RE Program classes.  It is only your help our program is successful.

We pray:   Holy Spirit you are the breath of life that fills us with strength as we face the challenges of the coming school year.      You  are the source of all unity.  Guide us all, teachers and parents, in our mission to educate the children in our Parish.  Encourage us to imitate the most holy Trinity by always giving more than we receive, and to share our burdens and joys in trust and friendship.  We ask these things through Christ our Lord.  Amen.

Please continue to watch the weekly church bulletin for additional information for Religious Education and Youth Group activities.

The RE Office hours are Monday – Thursday, 10:00am – 2:00pm.    You may leave a message at 455-8720 during the closed hours.

Blessings,

Carrie Aragon,  Director of Religious Education
